Uzbekistan’s Inaugural Container Train Departs for Brazil

A container block train has departed from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, through the First Dry Port Terminal on its way to Brazil. According to information from the LogiStan Telegram channel, the train left on December 11 carrying 54 containers, each 12 meters long, filled with 28 tons of urea.

The train’s route will take it through Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. At the port of Poti, located on the eastern coast of the Black Sea, the containers will be transshipped onto ships for transport to the port of Paranagua in Brazil.

The shipment was organized by Uzkimyoimpeks LLC, the sole agent responsible for export-import operations in Uzbekistan’s chemical industry.

It is estimated that the goods will arrive at their destination in 60 to 70 days. The containers will travel for 20 days to reach the port of Poti, and the sea transportation is expected to take 35 to 45 days.

This shipment highlights the efficient logistics and transportation networks in place to facilitate international trade between Central Asia and South America.
