
Uzbekistan’s Labor Reforms Highlighted in Ashgabat Discussions

The USAID funded Activity “Safe Migration in Central Asia” recently held a follow-up roundtable to discuss the results of a study visit on labor reforms in Uzbekistan. The event, which took place on May 29, 2024, brought together government representatives from Turkmenistan and various international organizations.
During the roundtable, Mr. Jeff Scarin, the USAID representative in Turkmenistan, highlighted the importance of the project and the need for collaboration in improving labor standards. Colleagues from Uzbekistan provided an in-depth overview of the visit to their country and shared valuable insights on the labor reforms that have been successfully implemented.
