Uzbekistan’s Largest Employers Named by Employment Ministry
The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction in Uzbekistan has recently identified the largest job providing enterprises in the country. As of April 29, 2024, the Joint-Stock Company Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combinat tops the list with 48,308 employees. Following closely behind are Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combinat JSC with 36,629 employees and Temiryulinfratuzilma JSC with 34,816 employees.
Other notable employers include Regional Electric Networks JSC with 20,873 employees, Romstar Joint Venture with 18,800 employees, Uzbektelecom JSC with 17,641 employees, UzAuto Motors JSC with 16,628 employees, Hudud Gazta’minot JSC with 16,309 employees, Uzbekneftegaz JSC with 13,926 employees, and Anglesey food LLC with 12,726 employees.
These enterprises play a significant role in providing employment opportunities in Uzbekistan and contribute to the growth and development of the country’s economy. With their large workforce, they are key players in reducing poverty and improving the standard of living for many individuals in the region.
