Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Launches Consular Services Mobile App
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has recently launched a mobile application called Consular Services of UZB, aimed at providing assistance to citizens of Uzbekistan during their travels abroad. This application offers a variety of functions including the ability to search for embassies and consulates of Uzbekistan worldwide through a catalog or interactive map. Users can also access contact details of diplomatic missions, including addresses, phone numbers, email, and websites, as well as information on the services available at each mission such as visa services, passport renewal, and consular assistance.
The application is currently available for download in the Android version for devices running on version 4.4 and higher, with an iOS version expected to be released at a later date. In addition to this app, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has also issued a decree for the development of an application specifically for labor migrants. This upcoming app is anticipated to provide information on job opportunities in other countries, a money transfer function, and assistance for those facing challenging situations abroad.
Furthermore, President Mirziyoyev has instructed the deployment of attachés on labor migration issues to selected embassies and consulates of Uzbekistan, as well as the establishment of call centers in diplomatic missions to provide prompt assistance to Uzbeks living abroad. These initiatives highlight the Uzbek government’s commitment to supporting its citizens abroad and ensuring their well-being during their time overseas.
