Uzbekistan’s Mobile Phone Imports Surge in Early 2025
In the first quarter of 2025, Uzbekistan demonstrated robust demand for mobile technology, importing a staggering 885,800 mobile phones valued at $89.6 million, according to recent data from the Statistics Committee. This increase highlights the country’s growing reliance on mobile devices as essential tools for communication and connectivity.
Notably, the majority of these imports came from leading Asian manufacturing hubs, with China remaining the primary supplier. In this period, China accounted for an impressive 679,200 units, making up over three-quarters of all mobile phones imported into Uzbekistan.
Following China, Vietnam contributed significantly to the market with 175,800 devices. Meanwhile, smaller quantities were supplied by the United Arab Emirates and India, which exported 15,500 and 14,500 units, respectively. The remaining imports totaled just 800 phones from various other countries.
This trend not only underscores Uzbekistan’s increasing demand for mobile phone technology but also highlights the country’s position in the global supply chain, primarily reliant on Asian manufacturers. As mobile technology continues to evolve, Uzbekistan appears poised to keep pace with international trends and consumer expectations.
