
Uzbekistan’s Openness to Talogue’s Qasa’s Woho Dialogue

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Water Resources, Shavkat Hamraev, has provided reassurance regarding the Qosh Tepa Canal issue involving the Taliban. In a recent dialogue with the public council under the ministry and media representatives on March 18, Minister Hamraev stated that the Taliban have assured that they will not cause any disruptions over the canal construction.
The Qosh Tepa Canal, intended for drawing water from the Amu Darya river, is expected to be completed by 2028, according to Minister Hamraev. He emphasized the significance of maintaining good relations with neighboring countries and addressing any misunderstandings through dialogue.
Hamraev highlighted the importance of not giving in to rumors and fostering better relations with neighbors. He mentioned that baseless gossip can lead to unnecessary conflicts between nations and stressed the need for traditional values such as neighborly relations.
The minister praised Uzbekistan’s president for his efforts in improving relations with neighboring countries, emphasizing the importance of maintaining close ties with neighbors. By promoting understanding and goodwill, Minister Hamraev believes that any potential issues can be resolved through communication and mutual respect.
