Uzbekistan’s Textile Exports Reach $2.33 Billion in January-September 2023
The Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan has reported that the country exported textile products worth $2.33 billion during the period of January to September 2023. This value represents 13.2% of the total exports made by the country within the same time frame.
Out of the total textile export amount, ready-made textile products accounted for $967.5 million, which is approximately 41.4% of the total textile exports. Meanwhile, the export of yarn reached $945 million, making up around 40.4% of the total textile exports.
The data reveals that a wide range of textile products, amounting to 582 types, have been exported from Uzbekistan to 58 different countries around the world since the beginning of the year.
However, it is worth noting that the export of textile products has experienced a decrease compared to the previous year. In the same period in 2022, the total export value amounted to $2.41 billion, indicating a decline in the current year’s exports.
