
Uzsuvtaminot Denies Water as Source of Schoolchildren Poisoning in Almalyk

The spokesperson for “Uzsuvtaminot,” Akmal Murodov, has come forward to dismiss claims that water was the culprit behind the recent poisoning of 12 schoolchildren in Almalyk. Murodov stated that no complaints or issues regarding the drinking water were brought up during a survey of local residents.
A joint inspection carried out by the Ministry of Health and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee of the Tashkent region further confirmed that the water in question met all required standards. Murodov emphasized, “This indicates that the poisoning of the schoolchildren was not caused by the drinking water.”
