Vice President Yılmaz Announces Significant Increase in National Income Per Capita
AK Party Deputy Chairman responsible for Foreign Relations Zafer Sırakaya, hosted political party representatives, ambassadors, diplomats, and overseas NGOs at the AK Party 8th Ordinary Grand Congress. The event was held to honor these guests with a meal, with the Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz also in attendance.
During his speech at the event, Yılmaz highlighted Türkiye’s commitment to sustainable development, economic stability, and social welfare despite ongoing challenges such as pandemics, regional conflicts, and natural disasters. He mentioned the earthquake disaster of 2023, which was described as the disaster of the century, and the country’s resilience in the face of such crises. Türkiye’s focus on key sectors like manufacturing, tourism, construction, and defense was also emphasized, with Yılmaz mentioning the construction of 201 thousand new houses for families affected by the earthquake disaster.
Yılmaz further discussed economic achievements, such as reaching a historical milestone of $262 billion in exports in 2024 and increasing the national income per capita to over $15,000. He highlighted the significant growth in the tourism sector, with Türkiye hosting 62 million tourists last year and seeing a substantial increase in tourism revenues.
The Vice President stressed the government’s efforts to stabilize the financial system and reduce inflation as a top priority. He also mentioned the focus on increasing production, growth, and employment, along with improving social welfare in the long term.
Additionally, AK Party’s Vice President of Foreign Relations, Zafer Sırakaya, announced the upcoming congress titled “İstikbal in the Light of the White,” which will host over 100 thousand participants. The congress aims to showcase the party’s commitment to democratic governance in Türkiye and proactive diplomacy on the international stage. With the participation of embassies and political party representatives from around the world, the event signifies the party’s national strength and global influence.
