Violent Assault on Police in Bakırköy leaves Two Injured
Two attackers who fired at police in Bakırköy were shot and wounded during a long pursuit by the police forces. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday in Bakırköy Sakızağacı Neighborhood İskele Street. Police teams responded to gunshots in the area and discovered two individuals, identified as 17-year-old MFY and 20-year-old SZ, attacking them. The suspects tried to escape on a motorcycle after opening fire, but the police pursued them. The chase ended near Fatih Kennedy Street Eurasia Tunnel, where the attackers were apprehended.
The attackers sustained injuries during the capture, but one of them continued to shoot at the police. The police retaliated and eventually managed to take the suspects into custody. Both individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment. An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
