
Violent Chaos in Kağıthane: Police Attacked and Officer Injured

An eventful night in Kağıthane, Istanbul took a violent turn as three individuals attacked plainclothes police officers, resulting in one officer cracking his hand. The incident occurred when Ömer Y., Semih D., and Savaş K. felt they were being followed and confronted the police team with hostility, despite being informed of their identity.
The situation escalated when the trio called their friends to the scene, leading to a total of 6 suspects physically assaulting the police officer. The officer’s hand was reportedly injured during the altercation, prompting the arrival of reinforcement teams to detain the suspects.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the suspects had a combined total of 27 criminal records. Three of the suspects, Semih D., Savaş K., and Ömer Y., were subsequently arrested for “resisting to prevent them from doing their duty” by the court. The remaining three suspects, Halil Y., Yasin A., and Yunus Y., were released under judicial control.
The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement officers in the line of duty and highlights the importance of respecting authority and following instructions to prevent such confrontations from occurring.
