A disturbing trend of school violence continues in Kyrgyzstan, as yet another school fight has been reported. During the altercation, one student was seriously injured after being stabbed with a knife and had to be rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. This incident marks the latest in a series of tragic school fights that have plagued the country in recent times.
Just recently, Kyrgyzstan witnessed three other school fights that resulted in fatal outcomes. A ninth-grader lost his life after being brutally beaten in Kara-Suu, another student died following a brawl between students in Kant, and an eighth-grader was fatally injured in a school restroom in Bishkek. Additionally, a fight in Batken led to another student being stabbed and hospitalized.
These incidents have raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of students in Kyrgyzstan’s schools. Authorities and school officials are urged to take immediate action to address this disturbing trend of school violence and ensure the protection of students in educational institutions across the country.
