Waste Disposal Tariffs Nearly Doubled in Tashkent Region

The Council of People’s Deputies in the Tashkent region has approved new tariffs for the collection and disposal of household waste, resulting in almost a doubling of fees for individuals and a 1.2 times increase for legal entities. These adjustments aim to regulate waste disposal services in the region and improve the quality of sanitation services.

In certain cities and districts within the Tashkent region, the fee for individuals has been set at 7,840 UZS (including VAT) and 82,880 UZS (including VAT) for legal entities per 1 m³. The affected areas include Nurafshon, Akhangaran, Almalyk, Angren, Chirchik, Yangiyul, Tashkent, Zangiata, Akhangaran, Yukori-Chirchik, Urta-Chirchik, Kuyi-Chirchik, Parkent, Bostanlyk, Qibray, Chinaz, and Yangiyul.

Previously, the monthly tariff for waste collection and disposal was 4,400 UZS for individuals and 61,000 UZS for legal entities (excluding VAT) starting in 2023. These new tariffs will apply to the state unitary enterprise Toza Hudud of the Tashkent region and several sanitary and cleaning companies operating in the region, including Angren Bunyod Fayz, Nurli yo‘l marvaridi, Ohangaron sanitariya tozalash, Rahnamo Servis, and Zero-Waste.
