Water Outages in Three Bishkek Residential Areas on March 14
On March 13, 2024, the 24.kg news agency reported that three residential areas in Bishkek will experience a temporary disruption in their water supply on March 14. The City Hall’s press service announced that repair work will be conducted at the Kontrrezervuary water intake and the city’s water supply networks, leading to the suspension of cold water supply in Altyn-Ordo, Kara-Zhygach, and Politseisky Gorodok residential areas from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to these areas, the shutdown will also affect residents of Dostoevsky, Ankara, Auezov streets, and the railway line. Bishkekvodokanal, the city’s water supply company, has urged residents and organizations in these areas to stock up on drinking water in advance to mitigate the inconvenience caused by the planned maintenance work.
The temporary disruption is necessary to carry out essential repairs, and Bishkek residents are encouraged to make necessary arrangements to ensure they have an adequate supply of drinking water during the specified timeframe. The City Hall and Bishkekvodokanal apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the understanding and cooperation of the affected residents and organizations during this repair work.
