Watermelon Seller Arrested for Molesting Customer in Tashkent
A watermelon seller in Tashkent was recently prosecuted for committing acts of a sexual nature towards an unknown woman. The incident took place in the Chilanzar district, where a 33-year-old man, identified as U.I., who was reportedly intoxicated, hugged the female customer and touched her lower back and buttocks inappropriately.
During the court hearing, the man admitted his guilt and expressed remorse for his actions, promising not to repeat such behavior in the future. As a result of the trial, U.I. was found guilty of sexual harassment and failure to comply with legal requirements of an employee of the internal affairs bodies, leading to a sentence of 5-day administrative arrest and a fine of 10 BCAs (equivalent to 3.4 million UZS).
