“We will not engage in polemics,” says Hamza Dağ

Hamza Dağ, the candidate for the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor from the ruling AK Party, has been actively engaging in local election activities. During a recent press event, he addressed the ongoing discussions surrounding the candidacy of the main opposition party CHP in Izmir.
Dağ criticized CHP, stating “Izmir should not be the material of a party.” He emphasized that the city should not become a battleground for political parties and their internal conflicts. He also touched upon the debates surrounding CHP’s Izmir Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidacy.
“We said something when we started this campaign, we are setting out to think only about Izmir, talk only about Izmir, and work only for Izmir,” Dağ stated. “You will not see us engaging in polemics. We are focused on our excitement about Izmir, our enthusiasm for the city, and our commitment to serving its residents.”
Dağ underlined that his campaign will remain focused on showcasing his team’s achievements and their vision for the city’s future. “Discussions other than that do not interest us much. We are looking after our own agenda,” he added.
In a confident tone, Dağ pointed to the voters, expressing his trust in the people of Izmir. “The people of Izmir will give the best answer on election day. Our citizens from Izmir will give the best answer to those who saw Izmir as a piece of cake and imposed impositions on March 31,” he stated.
As the local elections draw nearer, the competition in Izmir is heating up, with candidates from various parties vying for the crucial position of the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor. With his remarks, Hamza Dağ conveyed a message of unity and a focus on addressing the city’s needs, free from the distractions of political infighting.
