The Hot Weather Continues, with Intermittent Rain Expected in Some Regions
The scorching hot weather continues to affect most parts of the country, but relief is on the horizon for some regions as intermittent rain is expected today. According to the latest forecast, rainfall is predicted in the south and east of Central Anatolia, the Mediterranean Region, the north and west parts of Southeastern Anatolia, and the east of Antalya. In particular, heavy rainfall is expected from time to time in the east of Antalya.
Looking ahead to the weekend, rainy weather will be effective in the Eastern and Southern parts of the country. Weather Forecast Expert Mehmet Özdemirci stated that rains will also impact the west of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, with intermittent showers expected on Sunday along the west coast, west of Marmara, coastal Aegean, and Antalya areas.
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding avalanche danger in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea Region and the east of Eastern Anatolia. Citizens residing in areas with steep slopes are urged to exercise caution and be mindful of the avalanche risk.
In the three major cities, the weather forecast varies. Istanbul is not expected to receive any rain, with partly cloudy and slightly cloudy conditions. In Ankara, localized showers are anticipated, while intermittent showers are expected in Izmir on both Saturday and Sunday.
As the country continues to experience hot weather, the intermittent rain will provide some much-needed relief for certain regions. Citizens are advised to stay informed of the latest weather updates and take necessary precautions, particularly in the areas at risk for avalanche danger.
