Nation Alliance Leaders Meet in Istanbul Rally
The Nation Alliance’s leaders held a rally in Istanbul’s Maltepe district on May 15, where they expressed their promises and vision for the country. Presidential candidate and leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, addressed the crowd by saying that he would be the president of 85 million without any discrimination of identity, belief, or lifestyle. The rally was attended by IYI Party leader Meral Akşener, DEVA Party leader Ali Babacan, Future Party leader Ahmet Davutoğlu, Felicity Party leader Temel Karamollaoğlu, Democrat Party leader Gültekin Uysal, Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş.
Kılıçdaroğlu pledged to end hunger in the country and ensure that no poor family is cut off from basic amenities like water and natural gas. He added that the Alliance would make the country like a paradise where everyone could live in peace and harmony.
The leaders also discussed the issue of justice, with Kılıçdaroğlu saying that the Alliance was working towards a fair and just system for everyone in the country, regardless of their background. He promised to serve the 85 million people with justice, rights, and law.
Other leaders who spoke during the rally shared their vision for the country, with Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu saying that the Alliance would work towards solving all of Turkey’s problems with common sense. DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan spoke about raising institutions in the first month and reducing inflation to a single digit in two years.
The rally was attended by more than 800,000 young people who will vote for the first time in Istanbul. The leaders urged them to replace the authoritarian government with democratic means and leave an important gift to world political history. The leaders called for unity and promised to be everyone’s troublemaker, promising to root out drug lords and finish off gangs of five.
The Istanbul rally marked the beginning of a new era for the Nation Alliance, with the leaders promising to work together to solve the challenges the country faces.
