Wildfire in Izmir: Emergency Teams Mobilized
A fire broke out in the forest near Cumhuriyet Neighborhood in Izmir, Turkey, at around 1:30 p.m. The residents of the neighborhood noticed rising smoke and immediately alerted authorities. In response, 5 planes, 9 helicopters, 25 water tenders, 7 water supply vehicles, 3 bulldozers, and 3 ground crews from the Izmir Forestry Regional Directorate were dispatched to the area to combat the flames.
The dedicated crews are currently working tirelessly to contain and extinguish the fire, ensuring the safety of both the residents and the environment. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
