Winds Fan Flames of Stubble Fire in Diyarbakır
A stubble fire that started in Diyarbakır’s Silvan district has spread across a wide area due to strong winds. The fire brigade’s initial response was deemed insufficient, prompting reinforcement teams from neighboring districts to be dispatched to the scene.
The fire broke out in the Tekel Neighborhood of Silvan yesterday evening and quickly expanded towards the rural Umur Neighborhood. Firefighters, health teams, and police were quick to respond, but the fire’s rapid spread led to the request for additional support.
Reinforcement teams from the Bismil and Hazro districts were sent to assist in extinguishing the fire due to the lack of resources on site. Crews are working tirelessly to contain and extinguish the flames.
Meanwhile, in other news, shocking images have emerged from an accident in Adana where a family of four tragically lost their lives after their car plunged from a bridge into a reservoir. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
Stay tuned for updates on both of these developing stories.
