“World of Mugham” International Music Festival Inaugurates with Vibrant Concert Program
Baku Hosts 6th International Music Festival “World of Mugham”
Baku, June 19 – The 6th International Music Festival “World of Mugham” has commenced in Baku. This highly-anticipated festival is co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
The opening night of the festival featured a captivating concert program entitled “Alim Gasimov and his guests” at the Heydar Aliyev Palace. Various state and government officials, prominent figures from the realms of science and culture, as well as dedicated mugham enthusiasts, attended the event to witness the grand inauguration of this prestigious festival.
Continuing its rich program, the festival will host a series of concerts at the International Mugham Center, National Conservatory, and Stone Chronicle Museum on June 19. These performances will showcase the incredible talent of honored artist Elchin Shirinov, along with several renowned mugham performers from Azerbaijan. Furthermore, esteemed musicians Daud Khan Sadozai from Afghanistan and Mahan Mirarab from Iran will also take the stage to captivate the audience with their exceptional skills.
In addition to the captivating concerts, the festival will also feature the highly-anticipated International Mugham Competition. This prestigious competition is scheduled to kick off on June 19, providing a platform for talented individuals to showcase their mastery of mugham, a traditional genre of Azerbaijani music.
The 6th International Music Festival “World of Mugham” promises to be a celebration of cultural exchange and artistic excellence.
