Turkmenistan Declares 2024 as the Year of the “Storehouse of the Mind of Magtymguly Pyragy”
Turkmenistan has officially declared 2024 as the Year of the “Storehouse of the Mind of Magtymguly Pyragy,” paying homage to the great poet and thinker. To mark this occasion, a meeting was recently held at the agency “Turkmenavtoulaglary,” where participants delved into the philosophical thoughts embedded in the poems of Magtymguly Pyragy.
Magtymguly Pyragy’s creative legacy is considered a national treasure and a significant contribution to world culture. His works emphasize the importance of educating physically healthy and spiritually mature youth, aligning with the vision set forth by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The event attracted representatives from various organizations, including the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, and government departments such as the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan and the International Educational and Scientific Center also participated in the gathering.
During the meeting, a letter of appreciation was presented to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, acknowledging their efforts in promoting the legacy of Magtymguly Pyragy. The event highlighted the ongoing work to disseminate the poet’s teachings and philosophies to a wider audience.
As Turkmenistan embarks on the Year of the “Storehouse of the Mind of Magtymguly Pyragy,” the nation honors the rich cultural heritage and enduring wisdom of one of its most esteemed literary figures.
