YTB Chairman Abdullah Eren Visits Ashgabat Orient

The Chairman of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Abdullah Eren, is currently on an official visit to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The visit, which began on April 7th, includes scheduled meetings with representatives of state institutions and a planned visit to the historical city of Merv.

During his stay in Ashgabat, Abdullah Eren spoke to the press about the educational cooperation between Turkey and Turkmenistan. He highlighted that approximately 29,000 students from Turkmenistan are currently studying in Turkey, with 100 of them receiving education through the “Türkiye Scholarships” program. Eren emphasized that since 1992, Turkey has provided scholarships for over 3,000 Turkmen students and that this educational cooperation will continue to strengthen in the future.

The visit of Abdullah Eren to Ashgabat serves to deepen the ties between Turkey and Turkmenistan, particularly in the field of education. It is expected that the discussions and meetings during this visit will further enhance the collaboration between the two countries.
