Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov Appointed as the New Governor of Bekabad District

Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov has been selected as the new governor of Bekabad district in the Tashkent region. The announcement was made during a special session of the People’s Deputies Council of Bekabad District on April 7.

Nizomiddinov, who previously held the position of Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration and most recently served as the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, has now taken on this new role.

During the session, Tashkent region governor Zoyir Mirzaev highlighted the pressing socio-economic challenges facing the district. He emphasized that Bekabad district lags behind in service provision, investment attraction, and budget revenue collection compared to other areas in the region.

In light of this, Shukhrat Dustbekov, who had been serving as Bekabad’s governor since December 2023, was removed from his position due to “errors and shortcomings” during his tenure.

Zoyir Mirzaev put forth Nizomiddinov as a nominee for the governor’s position, which was subsequently confirmed by the People’s Deputies Council.

Nizomiddinov has a wealth of experience, having previously led the Presidential Administration from 2018 to 2022. He later resigned in June 2022 due to health reasons and was later appointed as the First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.

With his background and expertise, Nizomiddinov is poised to bring positive changes to Bekabad district and address the various challenges it currently faces.
