Turkish Border Forces Catch 2 People, Including 1 ISIS Member Trying to Enter Iran Illegally
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has announced that two individuals, one of whom is a member of the Daesh terrorist organization, were apprehended by Turkish border forces while attempting to cross into Iran illegally from Turkey.
The MSB made the announcement on Twitter, stating that “We continue to fight against illegal crossings for the security of our borders. Our border eagles caught 2 people trying to cross illegally from our country to Iran. In the investigation, it was determined that one of the arrested persons was a member of the Daesh terrorist organization.”
The Turkish authorities have been actively working to bolster their border security in recent years, with particular attention being paid to the threat posed by terrorist organizations such as ISIS. The country has been a frequent target of terrorist attacks carried out by such groups in the past.
