15 Orient Deals Finalized Last Week

Last week, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan reported a total of 15 transactions taking place at their auctions. Representatives from Afghanistan engaged in the procurement of various commodities such as liquefied gas, aviation kerosene, and petroleum road bitumen from “Turkmennebit” SC, as well as sodium chloride and gasoline from “Turkmenhimiya” State Concern, all paid for in foreign currency.

Additionally, autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, cotton fiber, cotton yarn and fabric, and granulated household soap were sold for foreign currency to countries including Afghanistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The total value of these transactions amounted to over 41 million 130 thousand US dollars.

On the domestic front, local businesses purchased Portland cement, raw silk, and licorice root extract for a total sum of 34 million 570 thousand Turkmen manats.
