19th SCO Forum to be Hosted in Tashkent on June 5
The 19th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Forum is set to take place on June 5 in Tashkent, under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan and organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies (ISRS) under the leadership of the state. The upcoming Forum will focus on the topic “The role of the SCO in the new conditions: joining efforts in the name of universal security, stability, and prosperity.”
Over 40 experts from 10 countries, including representatives from national research centers of SCO member countries, specialists from observer states, and SCO dialogue partners, as well as the leadership of the SCO Secretariat and the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure (RATS SCO), are expected to participate.
The agenda for the event includes three main sessions dedicated to priority areas of cooperation within the SCO, increasing the effectiveness of the organization at the current stage of development, and exploring further prospects for enhancing the activities of the SCO Forum.
At the conclusion of the Forum, a Protocol of the meeting will be signed, which will outline the approaches and vision of the SCO member states regarding the agenda discussed during the event. Stay tuned for more updates on the outcomes of this important gathering.
