206 Suspects Arrested in Izmir’s Largest District During Peace Enforcement Operation
Police operations in Izmir’s Buca district have led to the arrest of numerous individuals involved in illegal activities. During the operations, a significant amount of drugs and unlicensed weapons were seized by the District Police Department teams.
Buca, with a population exceeding half a million, has been the focus of peace practices conducted by law enforcement authorities. In the month of April alone, over 118,000 individuals were questioned using the General Information Screening (GBT) application. As a result, 400 wanted individuals were apprehended, and 206 others were arrested by the judicial authorities for various crimes.
Furthermore, 25 separate drug operations conducted last month resulted in the confiscation of various types and quantities of drugs, along with 35 unlicensed firearms. The efforts of the District Police Department teams continue to crack down on criminal activities in the area, ensuring the safety and security of the residents in Buca.
