29 Irregular Immigrants Apprehended on Rubber Boat near Çanakkale Coast
The Coast Guard North Aegean Group Command recently made a significant discovery while on patrol off the coast of Ayvacık. During a routine operation conducted by the “TCSG-907” boat teams, a rubber boat carrying 29 irregular immigrants was intercepted. Among the group were 8 children, all of Afghan and Iranian nationality.
Following their apprehension, the irregular immigrants were taken to the Ayvacık Repatriation Center to complete necessary procedures. This latest incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced in managing irregular migration in the region.
