
5 Injured in Somada Underground Mine Dent Accident

5 workers have been injured in a dent that occurred in an above-ground mine in the Darkale region of Soma district in Manisa, Turkey. The incident took place at around 21:00, and the workers remained trapped underground. To rescue them, several firefighters, AFAD, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the site. Four of the workers were freed with the assistance of other workers and construction equipment. Firefighters, on the other hand, rescued the fifth trapped worker and sent him to Soma State Hospital for treatment.
While three of the injured workers are doing well, two of them have been reported to be in critical condition. Medical professionals are currently treating the injured workers at the hospital. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and further information about the incident is yet to be announced.
