55 Suspects Arrested in FETÖ Operation Across 21 Provinces
The Minister of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, recently announced the successful capture of 55 FETO suspects in a series of operations known as “CLIPSE-24.” These operations have been ongoing for the past 4 days in 21 provinces across Turkey.
In a social media post, Minister Yerlikaya emphasized the government’s commitment to dismantling FETO and other terrorist organizations, stating, “We will not allow FETO members to open their eyes. Our operations against terrorist organizations and their collaborators will continue with determination.”
The coordinated efforts of the Provincial Police Departments’ TEM and KOM Branch Directorates, under the guidance of the General Directorate of Security Intelligence Presidency, the KOM Presidency, and the TEM Department Presidency, led to the successful apprehension of the suspects in provinces such as Adana, Ankara, Balıkesir, Bursa, and more.
The suspects were found to be operating within the so-called “Military Secret Structure and Security Structure” of the organization, communicating via pay phones, and in contact with responsible individuals within FETO. Additionally, it was discovered that they had finalized prison sentences and were wanted in connection with FETO investigations.
Minister Yerlikaya extended his congratulations to the Heroic Police Officers who carried out the operations, expressing gratitude for their dedication and bravery. He also affirmed the nation’s support and prayers for the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in Turkey.
