7 Arrested in Connection to Küçükçekmece Horror

Seven individuals have been detained in connection with a tragic incident in Küçükçekmece, Turkey. The incident took place at 14:30 in the basement of a 4-story building on Karanfil Street in the Mehmet Akif Neighbourhood. According to reports, a foreign national named VE had been in a heated argument with her husband CE because she did not want to continue living in the same house as her in-laws. The argument escalated today when the woman tried to leave the house, resulting in a fatal knife fight where CE stabbed his wife to death. In a fit of rage, their son attacked his father with a knife, leaving him seriously injured.

Health and police teams were immediately dispatched to the scene following the incident. The seriously injured father was taken to the hospital while the son who attacked him was taken into police custody. VE’s body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue for an autopsy. It was revealed that CE, the husband who killed his wife, had been deported from the country three months ago and re-entered illegally only a month ago.

In response to this tragic event, the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation. A detention order was issued for M.İ., A.İ, B.İ, and their family members ME, Ş.E, AE, and ME due to their contradictory statements and presence at the scene of the crime.
