AFAD Initiates Search and Rescue Operation at Sednaya Prison

AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority) has initiated a search and rescue operation in Sednaya Prison in Damascus, Syria. The operation, led by AFAD President Governor Okay Memiş, involves 120 personnel, 4 search dogs, and 43 vehicles.

The mission started at the request of local authorities and is being coordinated by the Turkish Embassy in Damascus. Expert teams are using advanced technical equipment such as behind-the-wall imaging devices, ground radar, and seismic acoustic listening devices to carefully carry out the rescue operation.

AFAD continues to provide support to the Syrian people, from humanitarian aid to search and rescue efforts. The organization remains committed to assisting our Syrian brothers in their time of need.
