AI Predicts Future Health Issues – Latest Tech News

A recent study has shown that artificial intelligence (AI) has the ability to predict future health problems that a patient may experience. This breakthrough technology could potentially assist doctors in monitoring and diagnosing patients more effectively.
Researchers utilized data from over 811,000 patients from NHS trusts in London and a dataset from the US to train three different Foresight models. The AI tool, known as Foresight, is a part of the same AI model family as ChatGPT but has been specifically trained using information from NHS electronic records.
The study found that Foresight was able to accurately detect potential future health conditions with rates ranging from 68 percent to 88 percent, depending on the dataset used. The findings were published in The Lancet Digital Health by Zeljko, the first author of the study. Zeljko emphasized that the high sensitivity of the AI tool in predicting patients’ health trajectories could be an invaluable asset in guiding clinical research and aiding in decision-making processes.
The potential of AI in the healthcare sector continues to grow, with exciting possibilities for improving patient care and outcomes. Stay updated on the latest news and developments by following NTV on social media.
