AK Party Commemorates the April 27 E-Memorandum: A Reflection on Democracy and Sovereignty
In a recent statement, Hayati Yazıcı, Deputy Chairman of the AK Party, marked the anniversary of the April 27 e-memorandum, calling attention to its implications in Turkey’s political landscape. He emphasized how the memorandum attempted to disrupt the will of the nation and the sovereignty vested in the people.
Yazıcı conveyed that the AK Party has steadfastly upheld the will of the nation against the backdrop of historical challenges, particularly coups and military interventions that marked Turkey’s political history until the early 2000s.
