AK Party Releases Istanbul Rally Transportation Guide
Transportation guide published for Istanbul rally
The ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) has released a transportation guide for the upcoming rally in Istanbul. The guide states that a total of 10,000 buses will depart from 39 districts in Istanbul to bring citizens to the rally area. The buses will depart from points determined by district presidencies.
Those who prefer to use the Marmaray will be able to get off at the Yeşilyurt/Yeşilköy stop and take free ring services that will run at short intervals to the rally area. For those using the Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport Metro Line, they will be able to reach the meeting area on foot from the G-1 and G-2 gates.
Organizers have urged participants to use public transportation instead of their cars, as traffic jams are expected due to the high number of attendees. The rally is set to take place on August 8 in Istanbul’s Maltepe district.
