“Fuego Volcano Triggers Evacuation of 1054 People in Guatemala”

Fuego Volcano Reactivates and Spews Ash Clouds in Central America
Fuego, one of the most active volcanoes in Central America, has reactivated at an altitude of 3,763 meters, according to a statement by the National Disaster Mitigation Coordination Agency. The statement reported that the volcano spewed hot ash clouds that could potentially affect 100,000 people in the region.
To ensure the safety of nearby residents, civil defense officials evacuated 1054 people from five settlements near the volcano. These individuals have been relocated to temporary shelters until it is safe to return to their homes.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Fuego Volcano has caused damage and loss of life. In 2018, the volcano erupted, leading to 194 fatalities and 234 people going missing. The recent reactivation of the volcano has raised concerns for the safety of the surrounding communities.
Authorities are closely monitoring Fuego Volcano and advising residents to stay alert for further updates regarding potential volcanic activity. As always, the safety of individuals living in the surrounding areas is of the utmost importance, and efforts will be made to ensure their protection.
