Akşener Confident About Winning in First Round – Latest News from Turkey

Meral Akşener, the chairman of the IYI Party, addressed a rally in Yozgat Cumhuriyet Square and spoke about her party’s promises if they come into power. During her speech, she expressed concern about the growing insults and slanders in Turkey, which are starting to affect the country’s conscience.
She also mentioned how the election coincides with Mother’s Day, saying that every young person should bring their family, friends, and loved ones to vote for the IYI party. As a mother, she also expressed her desire to be voted for, along with Kemal.
On their plans for the country, Akşener mentioned that as soon as they come to power, they will appoint 100,000 teachers immediately after the 15th, open 11 thousand village schools, and appoint a teacher, agricultural engineer, veterinarian, and technician to all villages. They will restructure all farmers’ debts and pay only the interest for the next five years, while also setting up a system where they only pay the principal each year.
Furthermore, their plans include reducing diesel prices for farmers, making discounts in electricity, feed, diesel, and fertilizer, and establishing a biogas plant in Yozgat. Akşener also talked about paying a monthly salary of 2 thousand 500 liras to the 26-year-old group and housewives without any conditions. They will also abolish the interview.
The rally ended with the introduction of the IYI Party Yozgat deputy candidates, and Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş also gave a speech. With these promises, the IYI Party hopes to gain public support and win the upcoming elections.
