Akşener Expresses Willingness to Vote for Both Meral and Kemal

IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener has spoken out about the insults and slanders she has experienced during her active 30-year political career in Turkey. Speaking at a rally in Yozgat, attended by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Akşener said that she had a political memory of 50 years, and had never seen such infamous language used before. She has been called a member of the PKK, but noted that the same men who were making these accusations were in Diyarbakır and used the term “unsolved perpetrator”. Akşener said she was the only person in the world who was both an unsolved murderer and a PKK member. She believes these accusations are being used to divert attention away from the real issues affecting the country, such as unemployment and political corruption. Akşener believes that if IYI Party win the election, they will make male-to-male marriage legal, something that has been criticized by others in Turkey. She has promised to appoint 100,000 teachers after the election and open 11,000 village schools. She ended the rally by saying that by “Allah’s leave”, with the favour of the nation, Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu would be their 13th President and Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would retire.
