Akylbek Japarov Tours Enterprises in Chui Region

On June 21, 2024, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, visited several industrial enterprises in Chui region as part of his working trip. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that during his visit, Japarov got acquainted with the activities of these enterprises.

One of the facilities that Japarov visited was a plant for the production of basalt fiber (mineral wool) in Issyk-Ata district. The company has completed the installation of the production line and is currently setting up basic systems. The equipment has been launched in test mode, and a trial batch of products has been manufactured. This plant, Izo-Penoplast LTD, will be the only manufacturer of these products in Kyrgyzstan, as basalt fiber is currently entirely imported. The plant’s total production capacity is 20,000 tons of basalt fiber per year, allowing for local sales and exports. It is estimated that the plant will create up to 100 jobs.

Additionally, Japarov also inspected the progress of construction of a plant for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete in Issyk-Ata district.

Kant TShP LLC is another enterprise that Japarov visited, the largest producer of high-quality chrysotile and fiber cement products (such as slate roofing) in Kyrgyzstan. In 2021, the company sold 4 million sheets of slate. The launch of this new plant will create over 100 jobs and cover 15 percent of market demand. The projected annual export volume of products from this plant is $1 million.

After his visit, Akylbek Japarov provided instructions to provide necessary assistance to these enterprises. These initiatives are expected to boost local production, create employment opportunities, and contribute to Kyrgyzstan’s industrial sector.
