Andijan Airport to Resume Regular Passenger Flights on March 20

Andijan Airport is set to officially restart regular passenger services on March 20, with the first flight scheduled for the Tashkent – Andijan – Tashkent route. According to Uzbekistan Airports, ticket sales have already begun for Silk Avia flights US601/US602, which will be operated using ATR-72-600 aircraft on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The flight schedule is as follows:
– Departure from Tashkent: 11:20 – Arrival in Andijan: 12:20
– Departure from Andijan: 13:00 – Arrival in Tashkent: 14:00

Future plans for Andijan Airport include the resumption of international flights. The first phase of the airport’s reconstruction has been completed, with significant upgrades made to the aerodrome complex. This includes the construction of a new 4E-category runway (3,300 meters long and 60 meters wide), a taxiway, and a parking apron with three aircraft stands. The terminal building renovation is planned for the second phase of reconstruction.

Andijan Airport had temporarily suspended operations on April 1, 2023, for the planned reconstruction of its aerodrome complex. Now, with the completion of the first phase, the airport is ready to welcome passengers once again starting March 20.
