Anesthesiology & Reanimation Course Held at Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital

A recent “Applied Low Flow Anesthesia Course” was held at the Turkish Cypriot Medical Association Conference Hall and Dr. at Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital Operating Room. The event was a collaboration between the Turkish Cypriot Medical Chamber (KTTO) and the Turkish Anesthesiology and Reanimation Association (TARD).

The opening speeches were made by the President of the Turkish Cypriot Medical Chamber, Specialist Dr. Ömer Taşargöl, and Turkish Anesthesiology and Reanimation Association President Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat Erdem.

Specialist Dr. Ömer Taşargöl emphasized the importance of continuing education for healthcare professionals in the country and stated that the Turkish Cypriot Medical Chamber is always ready to contribute to educational activities.

Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat Erdem, the course coordinator, provided information about the application, explaining that the consumption of anesthetic gas in the operating room will be significantly reduced, benefiting both patients and operating room staff.

The event saw the participation of healthcare professionals from the anesthesiology and reanimation department of hospitals in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, including Prof. Dr. Kazım Karaaslan, Prof. Dr. Hilal Ayoğlu, Assoc. Dr. Evrim Kucur Tülübaş, Assoc. Dr. Feride Karacaer, Dr. Lecturer Member Fatih Ugün, and Soner Arifoğlu

The course was aimed at equipping medical professionals with the latest techniques in low flow anesthesia and reducing the impact of anesthetic agents on the environment. With these innovative practices, the industry is working towards providing quality patient care while minimizing its environmental footprint.
