Announced: 2024/2025 University Tuition Fees
Tuition Fees in State Universities to Increase by 15% in the upcoming Academic Year
Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, students attending state universities in Uzbekistan can expect an average 15% increase in tuition fees. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation has announced the new costs, which have been updated after four years.
For example, the tuition fee for a bachelor’s degree in the popular specialty of “Pedagogy” has risen from 6,412,610 UZS to 7,400,000 UZS. On the other hand, for the specialty of “Law”, which is considered one of the more expensive programs, the tuition fee has increased from 9,809,260 UZS to 11,250,000 UZS.
According to the Ministry, state higher education institutions that have financial independence are allowed to set their tuition fees for the upcoming academic year independently, following established guidelines.
The decision to raise tuition fees comes as universities aim to improve their academic offerings, facilities, and overall quality of education. Students and their families are advised to plan for these increased costs and take advantage of any available financial aid or scholarship opportunities.
Overall, this increase in tuition fees reflects the ongoing efforts to enhance the higher education system in Uzbekistan and provide students with a quality learning experience.
