Antalya Blanketed by Moisture Clouds

Moisture Clouds Blanket Antalya, Causing Decreased Visibility
Antalya, a coastal city in Turkey, experienced high levels of humidity which resulted in the formation of moisture clouds across the region. The humidity in the city reached 73 percent during the morning hours, making it difficult for residents to see the neighborhoods in the area known as “Mazi Mountain” from the city center due to reduced visibility.
At around 7:30 am, the temperature in Antalya was measured at 25 degrees, accompanied by a humidity level of 60 percent. The perceived temperature was 26 degrees, creating a stifling atmosphere due to the significant amount of moisture in the air. As the day progressed, the air temperature rose to 32 degrees by 10:00 am, and the humidity increased to 73 percent.
The perceived temperature, which accounts for both temperature and humidity, climbed to 35 degrees. The presence of moisture clouds contributed to a decrease in visibility throughout the city. In particular, the neighborhoods located in the northern region of the city center, known as “Mazi Mountain,” became harder to observe from the urban area.
By noon, the humidity decreased to 47 percent, while the air temperature remained at 32 degrees. The perceived temperature continued to rise, reaching a scorching 37 degrees. Weather forecasts predict that Antalya’s air temperature is anticipated to soar even higher, reaching 38 degrees tomorrow.
Antalya residents are advised to take necessary precautions to cope with the intense heat and humidity. It is recommended to stay indoors, stay hydrated, and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours.
