Anxiety in Arnavutköy’s Blue Creek
Residents of the Arnavutköy neighborhood in Istanbul were left in shock when their local creek turned blue and emitted a foul odor. Concerns arose that factory waste may have been dumped into the water, causing the discoloration. The Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) released a statement stating that they were investigating the cause of the color change and would pursue legal action against any responsible organizations.
