Appointment of New Head at Kyrgyzstan’s Academy of Ministry of Internal Affairs

Bishkek, 24 December 2024 – The former head of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek, Azamat Nogoibaev, has been appointed as the head of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Major General E. Aliyev. This decision was made by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
In 2023, Azamat Nogoibaev was relieved of his duties as the head of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the capital following an incident involving the detention of employees from the State Service on Drug Control. The State Committee for National Security arrested five employees of the Drug Control Service in Bishkek on suspicion of extorting money from individuals who purchased synthetic drugs for personal use.
It is worth noting that Azamat Nogoibaev is the son of Bolotbek Nogoibaev, who served as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan from February 2007 to January 2008. This family connection adds a unique dimension to Azamat Nogoibaev’s new role at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
