Argentinian President Milei Warns of Country’s Potential Future Similarity to Germany in 20 Years
Argentinian economist, Javier Milei, recently spoke to a private magazine during his visit to the USA, expressing his hopes for his country to adopt Western values and develop in that direction.
Milei highlighted the efforts made by his team in submitting numerous reform packages to the Congress shortly after taking office. He stated, “If the reforms we proposed in the first month were accepted, Argentina could have resembled Germany in 20 years. Essentially, Argentina could have made a significant leap and improved its ranking by 90 places.”
The economist also noted the rapid increase in Argentina’s popularity in recent years, attributing it to a cultural shift in the mindset of the people. Milei confidently stated, “I believe that the cultural struggle has paid off. Argentinians have decided to mature and are now demanding change more assertively.”
During his visit to the USA, Milei had important meetings with key figures such as Ilan Goldfajn, President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in Florida. He then traveled to Texas where he had a meeting with renowned businessman Elon Musk.
As Milei continues to advocate for reforms and progress in Argentina, his vision for the country’s future aligns with embracing Western values and driving positive change for its citizens.
