The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Holds Annual Meeting in Tbilisi
The Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has convened in Tbilisi, Georgia for the 57th annual meeting of the bank. This marks the first time that Georgia is hosting the annual meeting of the bank’s Board of Governors. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Bridge to the Future.”
Kyrgyzstan, as a member country of the ADB, is represented by officials from the Ministry of Finance at the event. Asian Development Bank President Masatsugu Asakawa emphasized the importance of global trade and the need for free trade and movement of capital to address vulnerabilities in the current system.
President Asakawa also highlighted the importance of leveraging digital technologies to drive growth and tackle development challenges in areas such as health, agriculture, and climate change. He stressed the need for responsible and ethical implementation of artificial intelligence solutions to ensure inclusive growth and prosperity for all countries.
