Astrakhan set to introduce flights to Turkmenistan
The Astrakhan region is making strides in international cooperation by working towards establishing new air routes with Caspian littoral states. According to the Minister of External Relations, Vladimir Golovkov, negotiations are currently underway to introduce direct flights between Astrakhan and Ashgabat or Astrakhan and Turkmenbashy.
Currently, Astrakhan only offers international flights to Baku, but the high demand for these flights has highlighted the need to expand the range of destinations. The government of Astrakhan is optimistic about the potential for resuming flights to Kazakhstan starting in March.
These efforts are part of the region’s commitment to strengthening ties with neighboring countries and enhancing connectivity through air travel.
