Austrian Company Doppelmayr to Construct Cable Car at Three Peaks Ski Resort
An exciting new project is underway at the Three Peaks ski resort in Kyrgyzstan, as an Austrian company has been chosen to construct a cable car. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, signed the order designating Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH as the supplier responsible for delivering, designing, and constructing the cable car infrastructure in the Ak-Suu district of Issyk-Kul region. This project is part of the state importance Three Peaks Ski Cluster, Zhyrgalan.
Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH Außenstelle Stetten is a branch of the renowned Austrian holding company Doppelmayr, which specializes in the construction of cableways. With production facilities, sales, and service branches in over 50 countries, Doppelmayr has an impressive track record of implementing over 15,400 cableway systems in 96 countries.
The state enterprise Kyrgyz Courchevel, under the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, has been chosen as the official customer for the equipment, works, and services related to the cable car project. According to the Ministry of Justice, the enterprise was founded by the Cabinet of Ministers and is led by Zharkynbek Maksutov.
The decree authorizing this project comes into effect immediately upon signing and is valid for a period of 18 months. This development follows the presentation of the Kyrgyz project Three Peaks to Austrian companies earlier this year.
It’s worth mentioning Doppelmayr’s rich history, dating back to the 19th century. Initially starting as a forge producing tools and machinery, the company eventually ventured into manufacturing lifts in the early 1900s.
Excitement is building as construction on the cable car at Three Peaks ski resort is set to begin, providing visitors with a new and convenient way to enjoy the stunning mountain views and outdoor activities the region has to offer.
